Privacy Policy

How Bootz collects, uses, protects, and deletes data for workout planning and coaching.

Information we collect

  • Account information such as email address and linked sign-in providers.
  • Profile details you enter, including training preferences, fitness level, age-related inputs, body metrics, and recovery check-ins.
  • Workout activity such as plans, session logs, completed sets, progress events, and coach interactions.
  • Optional device and health data that you explicitly authorize through Apple Health or Health Connect.
  • Optional AI body scan data for Pro members, including camera permission status, Bodygram scan status, provider error codes, and AI-derived body measurements. Bootz does not store raw body scan photos for this feature.
  • Diagnostic and crash information used to improve reliability.

How we use information

  • Create and update personalized workout plans.
  • Power in-session coaching, progress tracking, and recovery insights.
  • Estimate body measurements from optional Bodygram guided scans and use those derived measurements for progress and coaching context.
  • Sync your account across devices and linked sign-in methods.
  • Send reminders and notifications that you enable.
  • Monitor app reliability, prevent abuse, and support customer issues.

Health data

  • Apple Health and Health Connect access is optional.
  • Bootz only reads or writes health data after you grant permission through the operating system.
  • Health data is used to show recovery metrics, activity summaries, and coaching context inside the app.

Camera and body scans

  • AI body scans are optional and require camera permission before the guided scan can run.
  • Bootz uses Bodygram to process the guided scan and return estimated measurements and scan status.
  • Bootz stores derived measurements and scan metadata so you can review progress, delete scan data, and improve coaching context.
  • Bootz does not use body scans for medical diagnosis, identity verification, public rating, comparison, or advertising profiles.

Sharing

  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We may share data with service providers that help us run authentication, storage, payments, analytics, notifications, AI features, and optional Bodygram body scans.
  • We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.

Data retention and deletion

  • We keep account and workout data while your account remains active.
  • You can delete individual AI scan records and derived scan measurements from the scan results flow.
  • You can delete your account from the app in Settings, Privacy and data, Delete Account.
  • When an account is deleted, Bootz removes the profile and related application data from supported systems, subject to backup and legal retention limits.

Your choices

  • You can update profile information inside the app.
  • You can disconnect health integrations in Settings.
  • You can deny camera permission or skip AI body scans and continue using manual body measurements.
  • You can contact support for privacy questions or account access issues.
